By now, everyone is feeling a small sigh of relief because the 2 week, single and sub zero temperatures are gone. Yes, there is some ice.
Very little of it was safe to begin with, now the temperatures are gonna warm up over the next several days, there will be even less safe ice.
Please, STAY OFF THE ICE!

6 days later, water is down (for now), ice still jammed up. Ice and debris against another piling. From the outside, the boathouse looks OK.

The local weather is reporting a slow warm up and some rain. Let's see what happens over the weekend...

Well, it's that time again. Department of Health inspection and licensing. ALS/BLS/QRS for the ambulances, 281 Rescue, 281 Squad and 281 Fire Boat. WE PASSED!

Such a beautiful spring day, perfect for checking and prepping our water equipment. 
Funding was secured to get a generator for the EMS station. Now to get it installed and working.

After "many" years of service, more than likely being worn out. The 3rd Avenue man door got replaced.

Harrison Township - September 15
SONAR Training - Allegheny River - September 23
Day 2 of SONAR training with Marine Sonic Technology. Class was split between 281 and 112 boats. In use were hull mounted and tow fish devices.

(r) Greensburg Fire Department was aboard 281 with their tow fish.
