Congratulations to Jim Bartolovich and Jeff Heckman!

Jim and Jeff were given awards for Valor at the 115th Annual Western PA Firemen's Association Convention.held at the Fairchance VFD in Fayette County. August 8-13, 2008.

Jim and Jeff were leaving Allegheny Valley Hospital, just after midnight of September 27th when a structure fire with possible entrapment on Cambridge Street in Harrison Township was dispatched. Being only a few blocks away, they responded as did Harrison Township Police.

Harrison Township Police forced the front door, found the owner then learned of his son being on the second floor. Jim, Jeff and HTPD Officer Hanzlik began to crawl upstairs when they found the teenager and got him out.
